COVID-19 UPDATE: By order of the Board of Aldermen, City Hall will once again re-open to the public Monday, July 6th. I look forward to seeing everyone again in person. Face masks (not mandatory) and hand sanitizer will be available. If you aren't feeling well or just don't want to get out, payments can be mailed in, made by phone with credit card, drive-through at the bank or use the drop box at the front door as we have done for the past few months. Please give me a call with any questions. The City Park facilities are also open for public use, including the City Park Shelter House and playground equipment. Please call City Hall if you wish to rent the Shelter House for your next event ($75 refundable deposit/$50 rental fee in advance). The open pavilion and gazebo are free to use and are on a first-come basis.

By order of the Board of Aldermen, the suspension of utility bill penalties and shutoffs has been lifted. June bills (for May usage) are due June 22nd. The $10.00 flat rate penalty will be assessed on all bills not paid by June 24th. Shutoff policy will also be reinstated. Past due balances over 30 days will be subject to disconnection. We will provide notification on this site when City Hall is once again open to the public and when the City Park Shelter House is available for rental. The CDC recommends that everyone continue to follow guidelines including regular hand washing, proper cleaning of surfaces, and adhering to "social distancing". These are important methods of defense against this dangerous virus. We appreciate everyone's understanding during this difficult time. Please contact City Hall or your elected officials with any questions or concerns.

CITY PARK GAZEBO Mayor Sharon Morgan and the Board of Aldermen extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Bob Scruggs and Scruggs Lumber for their generous donation of metal roofing materials for the replacement of the City Park Gazebo roof. We also thank James McCoy, PeopleService, for his work to repair damaged railings to remove safety hazards. This is a very special structure for the Jungmeyer family and the City. These improvements will ensure it remains a focal point of City Park for years to come. Your generosity is much appreciated! Visit City Park and see how beautiful our Gazebo looks!
