The Russellville Mayor and Board of Aldermen invite you to attend an informational public meeting Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the Cole R-1 Elementary/Middle School Cafeteria, 13111 Park Street, Russellville, MO. This public forum is being held to inform the citizens of the status of the wastewater treatment plant project. A bond issue for this project was approved by the voters August 2014 and much progress has been made in recent months. The next step is the implementation of a new sewer rate that will generate required revenues to repay the bonds and provide adequate resources to operate and maintain the new plant. In attendance to explain the project and the sewer rates in detail will be the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, project engineers from Bartlett & West, and representatives from USDA-Rural Development and Alliance Water Resources. We look forward to seeing you on March 16th. Please use the Smith Street cafeteria entrance (double doors); parking is available.
Republic Services has scheduled the City's Annual Spring Clean-Up Day for Tuesday, May 2, 2017. With the City's annual garage sale being held the previous weekend, this will give you a great opportunity to dispose of those unwanted/unused items. Prior to pick-up day, Republic Services will issue a list of those items that are allowed/not allowed for pickup. I'll have copies in City Hall when available, and I will post on the website for your information.
Plan to take advantage of this special service provided by Republic Services! We extend our thanks and appreciate to Lillian, Jim, and the entire crew for their dedication and hard work that helps to keep our City clean.
A flyer identifying Cleanup Guidelines is available at City Hall. Items must be set at curb by 5:00 a.m. Please remember this is a service for residential customers only. Please direct your questions about Cleanup Day guidelines to Republic Services Office at 573-635-8805.
