Thank you to everyone who stopped by City Hall January 19th to meet with us and Hayley, the CO-MO Connect representative who was here to provide information and assist with sign-up for the proposed high-speed Internet project. We appreciated the response and numerous residents took the opportunity to sign up while here. We are hopeful we can meet CO-MO Connect's signup goal that would mean improved service and reliability for Internet, TV, and phone service at a competitive price. We still need your help. Signup has been extended to February 28th to help us meet the goal - we will be holding a second information/signup meeting with CO-MO Connect at City Hall Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you can't make this meeting but need assistance in signing up, please stop by City Hall - we can help! Thank you again for your support to bring this vital infrastructure improvement to our community!
Think Spring!! It will be here before we know it and that means Garage Sale Time!! The Annual City-Wide Garage Sale is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 28th and 29th. I will prepare a flyer that will include a map and listing of addresses. Come by City Hall or call me if you want your address included on the flyer. I'll publish a post when the flyers are ready to pick up at City Hall. Let's hope for great weather and a big crowd!
CO-MO Connect is currently conducting a survey to gauge interest in the development of a high-speed fiber optic system to bring high-speed Internet service to the City of Russellville. Cole R-1 School District recently undertook a project with CO-MO Connect to bring high-speed Internet service to all school locations, vastly improving their Internet service and connectivity.
Residents throughout the community continue to express interest in wanting this service. We are working hard to ensure the survey is successful by meeting CO-MO Connect's response rate goal. Only then can we look forward to the completion of a successful project. CO-MO's deadline for the survey is January 31st, which is fast approaching. At this time we are a third of the way to the goal line and are asking for your help to meet this challenge.
To help those who may not have access to the Internet or for those who may just need help, we are holding a Sign-Up Day at City Hall Thursday, January 19th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Representatives from C0-MO Connect and the City will be here to answer your questions and assist in completing the survey form on-line. Thank you for your support!!
